February 17: Close Focus - Roni Horn at the Menil

Taking its name from Horn’s assertion that drawing is much like “a kind of breathing activity on a daily level,” the exhibition considers the artist’s longstanding relationship to questions of time, place, and language, while touching upon the constant changing processes of identity. Looking closely at the exhibition together, we will contextualize Horn’s work in a larger history and consider her methods, materials, and ideas.
